#ICAEWROAR aims to identify the UK’s top accountancy online influencers using unique values-led formulas.
Accountancy and financial services have become increasingly active on social media in recent years. ICAEW seeks to influence the industry through this campaign and by encouraging more of our members and member firms to consider their social media presence.
#ICAEWROAR celebrates UK-based individuals using social media within the realms of the accountancy profession. To be included on our yearly Twitter list of influencers, you must be based in the UK, have a Twitter handle, cover accountancy-related topics, and represent a tone of voice reflecting ICAEW's values.
Our LinkedIn influencer ranking launched for the first time this year, 2023. For the inaugural LinkedIn we have used our previous year’s Twitter ranking as the backbone for the individuals included in our LinkedIn list of influencers. Same criteria, to be UK based, have a profile on LinkedIn, cover accountancy-related topics, and represent a tone of voice reflecting ICAEW's values, applies.
Our values are imperative to the way we communicate, behave, and position ourselves. We are bound by our Royal Charter to promote acting responsibly and behaving with integrity, throughout our profession and beyond. These values underpin our ranking system and have informed the design of the algorithm we have written, so will ultimately decide who ranks.
We have developed the Twitter ranking algorithm using Brandwatch's listening tool, our social media intelligence platform, to search and list the contenders. Our LinkedIn ranking’s data collection is done manually and a formula considering quality over quantity has been applied.
For our seventh #ICAEWROAR Top UK Online Influencers ranking we have chosen to concentrate on UK-based individuals using Twitter within the realms of accountancy. The winners will be revealed Thursday 7 December 2023.
