Ajay K Gupta is the Contact Member for Minnesota. He is a point of contact for members' enquiries on living and working in Minnesota and works with ICAEW to promote our strategy and brand within Minnesota.

Biography

Ajay has been with Ernst & Young in the UK and USA for a total of 36 years, of which 19 years have been as a partner in the firm. He specializes in providing audit and advisory services to large and complex health care systems and managed care organizations.

Ajay leads a number of Diversity and Inclusiveness initiatives at Ernst & Young. He currently co-leads the firm’s AccessAbilities initiative (focused on employees with differing abilities (disabilities)). At Ernst & Young, Ajay has been the executive sponsor of the Minneapolis office Professional Women’s Network and Ethnic Diversity Network. He also has served on his firm’s Ethnic Diversity Taskforce and co-led the Midwest Area Inclusiveness Initiative. Ajay was awarded the firm’s Rosemarie Meschi Award in recognition of his advancement of women’s careers.

Ajay is active in the local community. He currently is a board member and treasurer of Children’s HeartLink. In the past, he has served on the board of The Blake School, MacPhail School of Music, Minnesota Youth Symphonies and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ajay is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Engineering from Cambridge University and a Master’s in Business Administration (magna cum laude) from Kellogg Graduate School of Management (KGSM), where he majored in Marketing, Finance, and Management Strategy. He also is the recipient of J Lester Cunningham Award and J Robertson Memorial Award from KGSM.

Ajay’s wife is a practicing Rheumatologist and they have two girls, the older at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio and the younger at The Blake School in Minneapolis.
