The Insolvency Service introduced a case management system (INSSight) in November 2025. It was developed to better integrate with insolvency practitioners’ internal and external systems, automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual data entry.

ISCIS Online

With the rollout of the INSSight system, IPs are to continue to use ISCIS Online to access banking information for insolvent estates, reflecting the processing that The Insolvency Service is able to carry out. It can action password reset requests and is working through all requests it receives.

The Insolvency Service is aware that, in some cases, ISCIS Online is showing an IP’s previous firm details. IPs should be assured that the case details have not changed. If IPs see anything in their ISCIS Online data that does not look correct, they are to contact The Insolvency Service.

Financial transactions and bulk transfers

The Insolvency Service recommends the following steps for financial transactions and bulk transfers.

  • BACS payment requests — The Insolvency Service is now processing BACS payments and is currently working through requests received during the rollout. For payments that need to be made urgently, please email Estate Accounts and Scanning: CustomerServices.EAS@insolvency.gov.uk
  • Cheque payment requests — If cheque processing is slower than usual and IPs have urgent payments to make, please consider using the BACS payment route.
  • Allocation of receipts — The Insolvency Service will be allocating monies received during the rollout period to estates, and these should appear on ISCIS Online.
  • Bulk transfers of cases — IPs can continue to send bulk transfer requests, and The Insolvency Service will process them as soon as possible.

Individual Insolvency Register (IIR)

The Insolvency Service is working through the cases that were received up to the launch of the new system and is entering them into the system. This includes:

  • IVA registrations;
  • adjudicator bankruptcy applications; and
  • bankruptcy orders made at court on a creditor petition.

These cases will appear on the IIR once processed. Debt Relief Orders are unaffected.

Find an IP

Following a technical update on 5 November, some IPs noticed that their details had changed on The Insolvency Service’s “Find an IP (FIP)” service. This was an unexpected result of the transition to INSSight. This identified that some of the displayed details were incorrect, and INSS took immediate steps to rectify the situation. FIP is now showing the same information as it did prior to the update, for all IPs.

During the transition period, The Insolvency Service has actioned changes to IP details on FIP that it was notified about.

Official receiver services

The Insolvency Service’s official receiver services (ORSs) include the following.

  • Reports to creditors and lists of creditors — The Insolvency Service can create these documents and has worked on them in order of priority to meet its statutory obligations in this area.
  • Gazette notices — INSS is currently only publishing urgent notices in the London Gazette, and is working to publish more general notices as the rollout progresses.
  • Creditor nominations and handovers — ORS staff has access to case information for creditor nominations and handovers. These are being progressed as quickly as possible.

Director Conduct Reporting System (DCRS)

There is no interruption to the DCRS service; it remains fully available.

Templates and guidance

Please use The Insolvency Service’s templates to tell it about:

  • unclaimed receipts;
  • cheque and BACS payment requisitions;
  • IVA registrations; and
  • bulk transfers.

The templates are available on GOV.UK.

Further guidance on how to use the templates is available on ICAEW’s web page:
