My client is a VAT-registered charity. It receives donations which it uses to provide charitable work in the community free of charge. It also sells goods subject to VAT at the standard rate, hence being VAT registered. It has no VAT exempt sales, so can it recover all the VAT incurred on general overheads and expenses?
