In our July 2023 webinar Sustainability reporting in UK central government Max Greenwood detailed what the reporting requirements of this framework are and how it would be adopted in by central government on a phased approach.
Phase I of this framework is now in operation with reporting entities having to disclose their governance arrangements in relation to climate risk, including a compliance statement. Phase II will start from next March and includes disclosures around risk management and metrics and targets. He is currently engaging with subject experts on phase III, which covers climate strategy. The last phase is the most challenging as it includes scenario analysis.
