Sources
The main sources for entries on this page are reports in the pages of the Accountant, entries (displaying post-nominals) in the List of Members 1950 (both ICAEW and Society of Incorporated Accountants) and existing entries in the Roll of Honour.
These were then cross referenced with available military records.
This list will be only be a proportion of Articled Clerks who were decorated, as those that did not progress to membership will not appear in the List of Members.

Post nominals given in the name field indicate an award granted previous to World War 2. An asterisk indicates membership of the Society of Incorporated Accountants and Auditors which merged with the ICAEW in 1957. Two asterisks indicates an SIAA member who later became an ICAEW member. Three asterisks indicate a member who was a member of both organisations simultaneously.
The Efficiency Decoration was an awarded for officers of the Territorial Army for 12 years service (service in wartime counted double). In the List of Members it is designated by the post nominals TD, as it was known as the Territorial Decoration until 1930. The Efficiency Medal was the award given to enlisted men and non-commissioned officers.
C.B.E., M.B.E. and O.B.E.s will be under reported as the List of Members do not differentiate between military and non-military awards, so these have only been included if discovered when researching the recipients of other awards.
Mentioned in despatches will also be under reported, as there is no post nominal for that. The award itself was displayed by an oak leaf on the medal ribbon of the Victory medal.
