Promotions and those on the move in corporate finance advisory.

Kiren Assad (1) has been promoted to M&A partner at Deloitte, four years after joining the firm from Strata Partners. She spent eight years with Strata, and was a 2016 winner of the outstanding achievement award for the ICAEW Diploma in Corporate Finance.

Michelle Kite (2) has rejoined as real estate corporate finance partner from Grosvenor Property, where she was commercial director. Prior to Grosvenor, she spent 13 years in corporate finance for Deloitte.

Nick Armstrong (3), Andrew Waldele (4), Bryden Jones (5) and Muhammad Shahab Kaleem (6) have joined the fund finance team in Deloitte’s debt advisory service line. Armstrong has joined as director from RBS, where he spent 12 years. Waldele has joined as assistant director from Validus Risk Management, having previously worked for Barclays Corporate Banking. Jones has joined as executive from the audit team in Deloitte. And Kaleem has joined as executive from Deloitte’s private equity team. He previously worked as capital markets analyst at Bank Alfalah in Karachi.

The firm has also promoted James Hilburn (7) to partner and sustainability and climate leader for financial advisory. He was previously ESG M&A leader in the UK. Prior to that, he was a founding partner of Lumen Capital Partners, and co-founder of South African renewable energy and smart metering firm Eco Navitas. He also worked for Deloitte Consulting and McKinsey.

In the valuation team, Jane Lees (8) has joined as director, from CBRE Hotels.

And in Dublin Anya Cummins (9) has taken over as head of financial advisory for Ireland, seven years after joining from Cavendish Corporate Finance.

RSM has recruited Gemma Legg to its Reading office as corporate finance partner, from KPMG, where she was a director in the Thames Valley and south coast M&A team. She spent five years with KPMG, and before that was with Grant Thornton, having originally started her career in RSM’s corporate finance team in 2011.

BDO has recruited Graeme Hurst as transaction services partner in London, from PwC, where he spent 19 years and trained as an ACA. He was based in Birmingham and led the regional pharma and healthcare transaction services team.

FRP has made nine promotions in its corporate finance service line across the country. Bilal Hasan (1) has been promoted to partner. Operating out of the firm’s Reading and London West End offices, he joined the firm two years ago when FRP took over Spectrum Corporate Finance. Prior to Spectrum, he spent 10 years with BDO, where he trained as an ACA. 

Fiona Bichan (2) in the City of London office and Alex Starling (3) in Manchester have been promoted to director. Bichan joined FRP four years ago from Eversheds, where she was head of origination. She previously worked for Lyceum Capital and Fieldfisher Waterhouse. Starling joined from Deloitte’s transaction services team in Manchester five years ago, having trained as an ACA in its audit practice.

Ben Lowe (4) has been promoted to associate director in the London West End office. He joined two years ago with the takeover of Spectrum. He previously worked for Grant Thornton and EY, where he trained as a chartered accountant.

Madhavi Morjaria (5) has been promoted to senior manager in Reading. She joined the firm two years ago from BCMS, having trained as a chartered accountant with EY.

Jonathan Gonszor (6) has been promoted to M&A manager in the London West End office, having joined with the takeover of Spectrum. Prior to that he worked for KPMG, where he trained as an ACA.

Rory Denison (7), who joined the firm two years ago from PwC, has been promoted to debt advisory manager in the London West End office.

Adrien Vendran (8) and Cameron Robertson (9) have been promoted to corporate finance executives in the City of London and Norwich respectively.

Evelyn Partners has recruited Ben Norris as transaction services partner in London, from KPMG. Prior to KPMG, he was a partner at Eight Advisory and before that spent seven years in the transaction advisory group at Alvarez & Marsal, and 14 years in transaction services at PwC, where he trained as an ACA.

Dow Schofield Watts has made four promotions in its north west corporate finance team. Callum Sellar (1) and Tom Dutton (2) have been promoted to director, Ross Thomas (3) to associate director and Alex Odlin (4) to manager. 

Sellar and Dutton both joined from KPMG (in 2015 and 2017 respectively), where they trained as ACAs. Sellar is based in the Manchester office, Dutton in Knutsford. Thomas is based in the firm’s Warrington office, which he joined in 2019 from Kingspan Insulated Panels, where he spent three years as a project accountant. He trained as an ACA with KPMG in Manchester. Odlin is also based in Manchester and joined in 2021. He also trained as an ACA with KPMG.

Birmingham-based Headpoint Advisers has recruited Henry Baker as corporate finance associate from KPMG, where he spent five years and trained as an ACA.

Interpath Advisory has recruited Heath Snyder (1) and Liam Booth (2) as M&A managing directors in Manchester and Dublin respectively. Snyder has joined from FRP, and previously worked for Shore Capital, Cenkos Securities, Deloitte and Babcock & Brown in Singapore, having started his career with PwC. Booth was previously head of corporate finance and executive director of Investec Ireland, and prior to that was head of corporate finance at NCB Group, acquired by Investec in 2012. 

The firm has also recruited two senior associates, Charlotte Baron (3) and Luke Thomson (4) from EY and KPMG respectively. Both are ACAs.
