Albion Capital has promoted Marco Yu (1), Jay Wilson (2), Simon Goldman (3) and David Grimm (4) to partner. Yu, who’s been with the firm 17 years, is head of renewables. Wilson joined five years ago from Bain & Company and specialises in fintech. Goldman joined eight years ago from Abcodia and specialises in life sciences. With expertise in deeptech, Grimm joined Albion seven years ago from SPARK Impact.

Agathos Management has recruited Laura Morrill as an investment director from ECI Partners, where she spent five and a half years as an investor, among other things, leading the firm’s healthcare and life sciences origination efforts. Before that, she spent five years in PwC’s corporate finance team.

Praetura has launched a new venture capital trust, Praetura Growth VCT. Former Puma Investments COO Sam McArthur joins as a partner.

Pemberton has recruited Niamh Whooley as managing director and head of sustainable investing. She has held senior roles at PIMCO, Société Générale CIB and Fidelity International. Most recently she was global head of fixed income ESG research at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Cyrus Imregun has founded Blue Crescent Capital, a private equity firm, to invest in Western European lower-midmarket companies. He was previously a principal at FitzWalter Capital, and before that with Alteri Investors, Park Square Capital and Credit Suisse.

Pan-European growth buy-out investor Keensight Capital has opened a Boston office to expand its international offering in North America.

Paul Zuber has joined Hg Capital in the US as operating partner and North American lead. He was previously at Thomas Bravo, where he was an operating partner, and founder and head of the technology group.
