TLT has recruited Mathew Harvey as a corporate partner in its Birmingham office. Before this, he spent four years with Trowers & Hamlins, and prior to that was a partner at Weightmans and Shakespeares. He was previously co-founder and partner in Harvey Ingram. TLT opened its Birmingham office in September 2023.

Browne Jacobson has recruited James Skivington (1) as a partner in its corporate team in Manchester, from Pinsent Masons. Miranda Foy (2) joins as associate, from Hill Dickinson, having previously worked for Pannone Corporate. Olivia Barrow (3) moves across the firm to be associate.

The law firm has also recruited William Darmody (4) as a partner and head of the firm’s Irish corporate team, from Maples Group, where he spent eight years.

A&L Goodbody has promoted James Flanagan to partner in Belfast. He specialises in infrastructure and has been with the firm three years. He was previously with Totalmobile, as well as lawyers Arthur Cox and Elliott Duffy Garrett.

Lisa Stevens has rejoined Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She has joined as a partner in its business restructuring and reorganisation practice group in London. She also previously worked for Kirkland & Ellis.

M&A dealmaker Hubert Segain has joined Linklaters as co-head of the firm’s Paris corporate practice, with Bruno Derieux. He joins from Herbert Smith Freehills, where he worked for 19 years and headed up its corporate practice in Paris. He previously worked for Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett.

Financial services regulatory expert Charlotte Witherington has joined Taylor Wessing in London, from Freshfields.

Dentons has recruited Hans Beyer as a partner in its Frankfurt corporate practice, from K&L Gates. He provides both buy-side and sell-side advice, including for distressed M&A. He previously worked for BBL Bernsau Brockdorff.

Corporate tax expert Silvana Van der Velde joins Burges Salmon as a director from Travers Smith, where she was a senior associate.

Travers Smith has appointed Charles Bischoff as head of the finance team, succeeding Danny Peel. A partner since 2012, he specialises in speciality and fund finance.
