This webinar recording provides an update on the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age directive, recently adopted as COUNCIL DIRECTIVE (EU) 2025/516, with a particular focus on the proposal to further extend single (place of) VAT registration provisions across the EU.
Building on the existing ‘One Stop Shop’ model for e-commerce traders, the proposal will reduce the circumstances in which businesses selling to consumers – and, in certain cases, to other businesses – across multiple Member States must register in each Member State. We explore how cross-border traders can opt to register in only one Member State for their sales to consumers and, in certain cases, to businesses across the EU.
Will this make life easier for UK businesses selling to and within the EU?
