ICAEW is engaging in a comprehensive consultation to delve into the ever-changing dynamics of the workplace and the profession, with the ultimate goal of adapting the ACA qualification accordingly.
To underpin potential changes to the qualification, ICAEW has engaged a diverse range of perspectives and opinions about the ACA. This invaluable input will serve as the foundation for shaping a comprehensive proposal for the qualification’s development.
In addition to round-table discussions currently underway to hone in on specific aspects of the qualification, ICAEW is reaching out to key stakeholders. A survey, open until 20 October, is seeking input from students, members and Authorised Training Employers alike.
Will Holt, Managing Director for Education and Training at ICAEW, said this inclusive approach underscores ICAEW’s commitment to shaping the qualification’s future collaboratively.
“A key part of my focus is going to be around the future of the ACA. Immediately, that’s looking at the consultation process where we go out and speak to our key stakeholders about what changes we should be focusing on when we look at the ACA, and then, slightly longer term, looking at implementing those changes wherever we can.”
The ACA has taken in a series of innovations in recent times to stay ahead of the curve, such as implementing technology including the use of workplace data analytics software in exams and embedding sustainability throughout the qualification.
ICAEW would love your feedback. Please complete the relevant survey either as an ICAEW member, ICAEW Authorised Training Employer/Principal or an ICAEW student, and be part of the journey to transform the ACA for the next generation of accountants.
“This is your opportunity to feed into the future of the ACA qualification, and we really would appreciate your feedback,” Will Holt added.
