ICAEW will strengthen its senior team with three new hires over the coming months, with the first joining in November, as the Institute realigns its operations with its new strategy, Direction 2030.
Chief Membership Officer
The first of these new C-suite appointments to join the body is Louise Coleman, who joins as Chief Membership Officer on 19 November. She will head ICAEW’s global membership strategy, which involves developing the member value proposition and improving the member experience overall.
Coleman joins from Fitch Solutions, where she was Global Head of Customer Success and Service Delivery. In that role, she helped to reshape the company’s client engagement strategy, creating the customer success function.
“It’s a privilege to join ICAEW at such a pivotal time for the profession. I’m excited by the opportunities that lie ahead and look forward to drawing on my commercial experience to strengthen the value of membership, deepen engagement and help shape how ICAEW supports and connects its global community for the future,” Coleman says.
Chief Learning Officer
The next two appointments will join on 5 January 2026. Dana Day will be Chief Learning Officer, working on the lifelong learning provision for members and students. It includes further developments of the ACA qualification alongside pathways to membership, CPD and new qualifications. Day was previously at CFA Institute, where she was Managing Director, Global Partnerships and Business Development.
“It’s an honour to join ICAEW, an organisation with a powerful combination of heritage, purpose, and ambition,” she says. “The opportunity to lead the evolution of its learning strategy - ensuring members and students have the skills and confidence to thrive in a rapidly changing profession - is both inspiring and deeply aligned with my own values and experience.”
Chief Brand and Marketing Officer
Laetitia Rennie will start as Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, joining from London Business School, where she is currently Chief Marketing and Creative Officer. She will lead ICAEW’s brand direction and marketing strategy to drive member and student engagement and retention, while growing membership numbers.
“With the refreshed strategy and the 150th Anniversary on the horizon, this is a powerful moment to bring new energy to a prestigious brand – one that continues to shape the future of the profession,” Rennie says. “I’m looking forward to partnering with colleagues and members to deepen our global reach, connect with new audiences, and steward a brand that’s as ambitious, bold, and forward-looking as the strategy and leadership team behind it.”
ICAEW Chief Executive Alan Vallance welcomed the new appointments. “I look forward to working with Louise, Dana and Laetitia as we take forward our ambitious new strategy and reshape our operations for long term success,” he says. “Their collective expertise and fresh energy will be invaluable as we seek to strengthen our membership offer, further develop our learning proposition and enhance our global brand.”
Earlier this year, ICAEW announced the appointment of Iain Wright as its new Chief Policy and Communications Officer, and Pamela Harding as its Chief People Officer.
