Who’s on the move or been promoted in legal advisory.

David Bowcock (1) has been appointed managing partner at Fieldfisher in Manchester. He joined the firm as head of corporate in 2018, having previously spent 16 years at Eversheds and nine years at Brabners. In the West Midlands, Ranjit Dhindsa (2) has been appointed Birmingham Office leader.

The law firm has also opened an office in Vienna, which will be led by corporate partner Dr Thomas Ruhm (3).

Irwin Mitchell has recruited private equity and venture capital specialist Geraint Lloyd as corporate partner in London, from Bird & Bird, where he spent 11 years. Before that he worked for Berwin Leighton Paisner.

Travers Smith has promoted Ben Lowen (1) to corporate partner. He joined the firm in 2014 from Walker Morris, where he trained as a lawyer. He has since completed two secondments at Macquarie Capital Principal Finance.

The law firm has also promoted Sam Brewer (2) and Henriika Hara (3) to partner in its financial services and markets team. Brewer joined the law firm in 2017 from Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer, and Hara in 2017 from CMS Cameron McKenna.

And partners Doug Bryden (4) and Heather Gagen (5) have been appointed co-heads of ESG and impact. Bryden joined 13 years ago from Macfarlanes and Gagen nine years ago from Hogan Lovells.
