David Crackett is the Contact Member for Italy. He is your single point of contact for members' enquiries and acts as an ambassador in promoting the ICAEW's strategy and brand within Italy.

David is an FCA based in Italy and has significant professional experience working internationally both with Italian corporations and many of the world's major multinationals. In 2017 he was elected ICAEW Council Member for Europe & Eurasia.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he transferred to Milan with Deloitte where he was appointed Partner in 1984. He retired from Deloitte in 2010 and set up his own practice as a Sole Practitioner focusing on international business.

He is a Registered Auditor in Italy. In addition to auditing Italian subsidiaries of multinational corporations, He is actively involved as a professional in assisting businesses with their bilateral trade and investment activities. He also holds a number of corporate governance positions and lecture in accountancy at Milan’s prestigious Bocconi and Cattolica universities.

He is an Honorary Councillor and Past President of the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy and Past Vice-Chairman of COBCOE (Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe).

In his spare time, he likes to walk up mountains (but not too high), swim in the sea (but not too cold) and read Japanese authors (particularly Murakami).
