It is with deep sadness that ICAEW announces the unexpected passing of David on 11 September 2025. To anybody who would like to pass on messages of condolence, please send them to the Governance Office.

In Milan, he was member of the Transaction Services team as well as KPMG’s Capital Markets group. Leaving KPMG in 2000, he spent several years at both EY, gaining further transaction and due diligence experience, and Leonardo, global player in Aerospace, Defence and Security, employed as an executive mainly in internal audit and business governance. Since 2018, he has been working at the mid-tier firm Crowe, based in Milan, leading transaction advisory services within their Corporate Finance practice. Nominated Fellow of the ICAEW in 2010, he has been, since the same year, Committee member of the Italian Association of International Accountants (IAIA), of which he became President in 2025. Having graduated from University of Birmingham in Engineering Production and Economics in 1987, David is also a longstanding Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
