Tim qualified in the UK with PwC and worked in public practice in the UK and Luxembourg prior to moving to Australia with PwC in 2002. Tim is currently a partner within the Assurance practice in PwC Brisbane. He has provided assurance (external & Internal), accounting advice, transaction and independent expert services to a broad base of clients. From an industry perspective Tim has covered many industries but in more recent years has had a particular focus on energy, oil & gas and infrastructure related industries. Tim has been involved with the Queensland member group since it was launched in 2010.
Vargo qualified in the UK having trained within a small to medium sized accounting practice, following which Vargo spent time working with KPMG in audit. On moving to Queensland in 2005, Vargo worked in a number of position in small to large entities specialising in a number of key finance functions. Over the last 10 years, Vargo has worked in the Electricity distribution and transmission industry. Vargo became Chair of the Queensland Branch in 2020.
Claire qualified in the UK with PwC, where she began her career in audit and tax before transitioning into project management, business development and marketing roles. After relocating to Australia with PwC in 2005, Claire continued her career with EY and KPMG in Sydney, before moving to Brisbane in 2016 where she joined Deloitte for 7 years. She now works for a global law firm as a Senior Business Development Manager. She maintains a strong interest in the accounting and consulting world, keeping up to date with industry developments and regularly engaging with her network of contacts. She became a Queensland committee member in 2025.
Sarah qualified with Humphrey & Co in Eastbourne before leaving the UK. On moving to Australia, she spent seven years in Sydney before moving to Brisbane in 2016. Sarah has worked in various commercial roles in business development, strategic planning, financial modelling, analytics, and change management. She is a business partner to drive the strategic agenda across large enterprises and is currently employed with Tabcorp as a Commercial Manager in Lotteries & Keno. She has been on the committee of the Queensland Branch since 2019.
Thivya qualified in Malaysia with EY and worked in corporate finance, M&A and strategy in Kuala Lumpur prior to moving to Australia in 2019. Thivya is currently a Senior Finance Business Partner at an international Oil and Gas company. She has experience in corporate finance, M&A, FP&A, investor relations, and commercial finance. While having worked in various industries, she has worked in the mining, energy, industrial and heavy equipment sectors for the past few years. Thivya has been involved with the Queensland member group since 2019.
