Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the ICAEW Beds Bucks & Herts Society of Chartered Accountants (BBHSCA) will be held on Wednesday 15 November 2023, starting at 19:00 as laid down in the Society’s Rules (Rule 21: Notice of Meetings).
It is open to all members of the District Society and you can attend either in person or via a virtual link or by completing and returning a proxy form.
The EGM will be held at Rothamsted Conference Centre, West Common, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, AL5 2JQ.
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:
- To read the notice of the meeting
- To read apologies for absence
- To vote on the proposal to:
Either
remain an independent District Society, continuing to undertake activities and operations as currently, and dealing with its own administration, working with ICAEW via a Service Level Agreement
Or
for the activities and operations hitherto carried out by the Beds, Bucks & Herts District Society to move to ICAEW, following which most of the member-facing activities will be undertaken by ICAEW Beds, Bucks & Herts, an ICAEW Local Network, with the existing District Society independently administering its accumulated funds, operating principally as a grant-making body
