Volunteers' Week is a time to celebrate and inspire, and we’re excited to celebrate and thank our global network of volunteers.
2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), and we will be joining thousands of charities and organisations recognising the contribution of our volunteers.
Watch a thank you message from Mark Rhys, ICAEW Deputy-President 2022-2023, and hear from some of our current volunteers on why they give up their time.

Benefits of volunteering
Thank you – we couldn’t do it without you!
We are very grateful for all our global volunteers and their support. Serving on our councils, boards and committees, and supporting our outreach and recruitment work. Our volunteers’ expertise helps realise our strategy, benefitting our members and students, the wider profession and the global economy. Our volunteers continue to play a fundamental role in our success, and we are very grateful to them for their involvement and goodwill.
We also recognise those who volunteer for charities and other not-for-profit organisations. Your expertise enables charities to continue flourishing and benefitting causes that make such a difference to so many lives. The voluntary sector and society as a whole has never been more important.
Volunteers’ Week is led in partnership by NCVO, Volunteer Scotland, Volunteer Now (Northern Ireland) and Wales Council for Voluntary Action and is supported by ICAEW and organisations across the UK.
