Application to register as an Authorised Training Employer - Non ICAEW members
By completing this form, you are applying for your organisation to gain Authorised Training Employer (ATE) status and nominate yourself as appropriate to become the Qualified Person Responsible for Training (QPRT).
Please read the requirements for who can become the Qualified Person Responsible for Training (QPRT) in your organisation and what the role involves.
You will need to appoint an ICAEW member in your organisation as an Adviser to the QPRT to ensure close links with ICAEW are maintained. If there are no ICAEW members within your organisation for this role, please leave that section of the form blank. Our Training Manager will appoint a QPRT Adviser on their authorisation visit.
In order for us to process your application, please also send us an up-to-date letter of good standing from your professional body. This should include:
- the date you were admitted into membership as a fully qualified member;
- that you have a good disciplinary record;
- that you are compliant with the continuing professional development (CPD) requirements of that professional body and;
- that your professional body knows of no ethical or other reason why you may not become QPRT within your firm.
Please note that in some cases, we may also contact the body directly before approving your application.
If you have been excluded from another professional body, you must also disclose that to us and provide the relevant details.
If you have any questions, please email ATEaccess@icaew.com
