Can you Hack it?

Spend your afternoon in a team of Excel users (from novice to expert, all are welcome!) solving challenges and puzzles set by ICAEW's Puzzle Master. Test your mettle against a variety of challenges, apply the tips and tricks you will learn and demonstrate your Excel wizardry to your team. There will also be an opportunity to share your innovative solutions with all your fellow delegates on the day.

Ian Pay, Head of Data Analytics & Tech, ICAEW

Ian joined ICAEW as Head of Data Analytics and Tech in March 2022, looking at the role that analytics and technology solutions play in the profession, and supporting ICAEW's members in their exploration and development of knowledge around technology. Prior to this, Ian worked for over 10 years at PwC in Data Analytics, specialising in External Audit and Data Acquisition and developing robust data transformation processes. Ian is passionate about digital upskilling, and has previously trained as a secondary school teacher and a musician.

Mark is a qualified accountant who has been applying spreadsheet-based solutions to solve real-world problems for the last 20 years. Whilst working in the media, food, retail, and manufacturing sectors, he built extensive dashboard, reporting, and process automation tools, to achieve greater business insight and efficiency.
