Seven ways bank credit provisions are changing

ICAEW’s John Mongelard talks to credit risk experts to understand how they look at the unprecedented risks in front of them and the tools to deal with it.

Right now, everyone is in the dark in terms of what will happen and how to measure credit risk. Banks are using a lot of consultancies and peer bank disclosures to try to figure out a way forward.  

The UK banks are facing very similar risks, but they are each approaching it slightly differently and it may be difficult for the uninitiated to understand the exact details of each respective approach.
