How physical risk challenges insurer investments

The risk of a 4 degree rise in temperatures over a century and its impact on the insurance industry has been well debated and documented for at least 10 years.  

As far back as 2015, French giant insurer AXA stated that a 4 degree rise in temperatures from pre-industrial levels would render the world un-insurable. AXA has repeated that message year after year as it updated and strengthened its climate policy.
