HMRC is consulting on options for easements in dealing with estimated figures under the new basis for taxing unincorporated businesses from the 2024/25 tax year. This is an issue most likely to affect businesses that continue to have an accounting period that ends a few (or more) months before the tax year end.

In this webinar Richard Jones, Technical Manager, Business Tax, ICAEW Tax Faculty and Tom Brown, Senior Policy Adviser, Small Business and Trading Policy Team, HMRC explain the potential options being explored by HMRC and reveal the results of a poll ICAEW Tax Faculty have been running on this issue. The poll is run again during this webinar to allow live attendees to participate.
