Richard Stokes is the Contact Member for New South Wales. He is a point of contact for members' enquiries on living and working in New South Wales, and works with ICAEW to promote our strategy and brand within New South Wales.

Biography
Richard qualified with Price Waterhouse & Co in Newcastle upon Tyne before moving into the financial services sector.
After nearly five years in the City in the unit trust industry, he travelled extensively in Africa before working for a merchant bank in Johannesburg, eventually arriving in Australia in 1984.
In Sydney he worked with various investment management companies before setting up his own specialist consultancy firm in 1989. Stokes Partners International provides consultancy services to investment businesses offering managed investment schemes in product development, compliance and training.
Richard is an external compliance committee member for managed investment schemes offered by State Street Global Advisors, Auscap Asset Management, PM Capital, and MAN Investments Australia.
He is a non-executive director, and a compliance advisor to boutique fund managers.
Richard is married to Jan who is a Chartered Accountant and the Sydney City Group Co-ordinator. They have two adult sons.
