IMS local networks

The ICAEW Members in Scotland (IMS) exists to support members living and/or working in Scotland. The IMS Group arranges a small number of professional development and networking activities in Scotland for members and guests. In addition to this, networks of local members in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness and Glasgow exist.

Edinburgh Tax Network

The Edinburgh Tax Network is a group drawn from a number of professional bodies in and around Edinburgh with an interest in tax matters.

The aim of the group is to promote the tax profession as a whole, whatever professional qualifications are held, via a series of jointly organised lunchtime and early evening seminars and events with networking opportunities. The group also supports the cross-promotion of events organised by individual bodies.

The bodies whose members are involved are:

  • Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) Scotland Branch
  • Faculty of Advocates Tax Law Group
  • Faculty of Advocates Trusts Fiduciaries & Executries Group (Trustbar)
  • ICAEW Members in Scotland (IMS)
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS)
