The IMS Group arranges a small number of professional development and networking activities in Scotland for members and guests. In addition to this, networks of local members in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness and Glasgow exist.
Edinburgh Tax Network
The Edinburgh Tax Network is a group drawn from a number of professional bodies in and around Edinburgh with an interest in tax matters.
The aim of the group is to promote the tax profession as a whole, whatever professional qualifications are held, via a series of jointly organised lunchtime and early evening seminars and events with networking opportunities. The group also supports the cross-promotion of events organised by individual bodies.

IMS Business Representative
The IMS Business Representative provides a link between ICAEW business developments and members in Scotland. This includes sharing information about resources, support, communications and emerging issues and opportunities. We also host a series of regular meetings for our FDs in business. IMS member Stephen Westwood is our Business Resources Representative, he works alongside members Luke Harris and Neal Allen, and ICAEW Director in Scotland, David Bond.

IMS Practice Representative
The IMS Practice Representative provides a link between ICAEW practice developments and members in Scotland. Find, meet and communicate with ICAEW Members in Scotland (IMS) and build your local network.
This member group enables you to network, share information and discuss issues of professional interest with other members in Scotland (or members with an interest in Scotland).
You can ask questions, provide answers and debate topical issues, as well as keep in-touch with fellow members and up-to-date with all the latest information and news from your local member groups.
All ICAEW Chartered Accountants and students with an interest in Scotland are welcome to join – please include your membership (or student) number when requesting to join the group.

Retired members in Scotland
We are keen to keep in touch with older/retired members and facilitate opportunities for you to meet and also to share your wealth of experience.
If you are retired, semi-retired or approaching retirement please see the website for information about activities in Scotland that may be of interest to you. In particular, look-out for the annual older member outing (usually in the summer) and do come along to the next event.
