Update to the Legal Ombudsman’s postal address

Author: Professional Standards Department

Published: 04 Dec 2023

The Legal Ombudsman has integrated a new postal contact which affects the PO Box address it uses. This is of particular relevance to probate accredited firms. Please make note to ensure your communications are current.

ICAEW has been alerted that the address change to contact the Legal Ombudsman by post went into effect, Monday, 22 January 2024, and will therefore require you to update the Legal Ombudsman’s postal address currently included in any client correspondence, complaints procedures, and as part of any information published on websites holding this information.

A redirection for all mail being sent to the Legal Ombudsman’s previous address will remain in place for three months, ending on 16 April 2024. This should allow sufficient time for updates to be put in place for all signposting material.

Making these changes is important for ensuring that any postal correspondence sent after this date will be received and processed without undue delays.

What is the new post address?

From 22 January 2024, all written correspondence should be sent to:

Legal Ombudsman
PO Box 6167
Slough
SL1 0EH
