CIOT hosts virtual conference to support tax charities

Article

Published: 06 Sep 2022 Update History

The Chartered Institute of Taxation has organised a virtual conference covering current tax issues for owner-managed businesses on 13 September. The event aims to help two tax charities: TaxAid and Tax Help for Older People.

The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) virtual tax conference offers three sessions covering: measures imposing personal liability on directors for tax debts of the company; post COVID strategies for owner managers; and business incorporation.

Rebecca Benneyworth, Peter Rayney, and Carl Bayley will speak at the conference, which will be chaired by CIOT President, Susan Ball.

Alongside the three sessions, attendees will have a chance to pose questions to the speakers live. They will receive conference materials in advance and will be able to access recordings after the event.

TaxAid and Tax Help for Older People provide essential tax advice to vulnerable people. The charities provide unique services that help people who have nowhere else to turn.

The conference will take place on 13 September 15:00–18:15, with tickets costing £50 per delegate.
