Rates and thresholds for employers for 2024/25

HMRC has published the rates and thresholds to be used by an employer when operating payroll or providing expenses and benefits to employees. The figures apply from 6 April 2024 to 5 April 2025.

HMRC litigation settlement strategy webinar

HMRC will host a webinar on the litigation and settlement strategy (LSS) on 23 February 2024 at 11.45am. The LSS is the framework within which HMRC resolves tax disputes through civil law.

Confirm membership of HMRC agent forum

HMRC is asking members of the agent forum to confirm that they wish to continue to as a registered user. The email request, which includes a green opt in button, is genuine and access will be removed if users do opt in. HMRC is doing this to comply with GDPR guidance. Tax Faculty encourages members to use the agent forum to report problems with HMRC’s processes and systems that are not client specific.
