LDC has promoted Jacob Leone (1) and Grant Goodwin (2) to investment director.
Leone joined the private equity firm’s Manchester-based team as investment manager in 2019. He joined from Grant Thornton, where he was an associate director of corporate finance and had spent seven years, initially training as an ACA in audit.
Goodwin is also based in LDC’s Manchester office, having joined the firm in 2020 from Ardenton Capital. He previously spent four years in Dubai working in corporate finance and investment for GEMS Education. And before that, he spent five years working in corporate finance for Deloitte in Manchester and Dubai.
Mayfair Equity Partners has promoted Paul Reading (1) to chief strategy officer and Markus Zejermann (2) to managing director. Zejermann joined the firm in 2021 as director in its investment team, from L-GAM and Volpi Capital, where he focused on technology and tech-enabled services businesses.
Mayfair, which was founded in 2014, has also promoted Ihar Valodzin (3), Omar Kanafani (4) and Aryo Tehranian (5) to director; Alvaro Lozano (6) to associate director; and Ryan Pugh (7) to senior associate.
Valodzin joined Mayfair in 2019 from BC partners. He specialises in the TMT space and previously worked for Bain & Co in London, San Francisco and Moscow, and Aetna in the US.
Kanafani joined the firm in 2019 from Partners Group, where he worked in both London and Switzerland. He started his career as a strategy consultant at EY-Parthenon.
Tehranian joined Mayfair in 2019 from the sponsors leveraged finance group at Credit Suisse. He previously worked for TD Securities and PwC in Canada.
Lozano joined in 2022 from Advent International. He previously worked as a strategy consultant for BCG in its Madrid and Toronto offices.
Pugh joined in 2021 from OC&C in London.
Bowmark Capital has promoted Simon Kaufman to partner. He joined the firm in 2016 from KPMG, where he spent seven years in its transaction services team and trained as an ACA.
Former deputy director general and director of policy at the BVCA, Gurpreet Manku has joined Level 20 as CEO. Level 20 is the not-for-profit organisation that seeks to increase female representation in senior positions in private equity. Manku spent 10 years at the BVCA and before that 11 at Deloitte, where her focus was on advising private equity clients.
Allan Dunn (1) has joined NorthEdge in Manchester as portfolio director, from Ardenton Capital, where he was in a similar role. Prior to Ardenton, he spent 17 years in industry with Piksel and Ioko. Before that, he worked in corporate finance with Garbutt & Elliott and PwC.
NorthEdge has also recruited Greg Rawsthorne (2) as investment executive, from Houlihan Lokey, where he spent four years and was an M&A analyst.
